Stage Ninja SMS-12-CB Multi-Positioning Scorpion Series Microphone Mount, 12-inch Review

Stage Ninja SMS-12-CB Multi-Positioning Scorpion Series Microphone Mount, 12-inch
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I saw these guys at the NAMM show two years ago and thought it looked like a good idea. Simple - take a super strong spring clamp and attach a goose-neck, right? Darn straight! Well, it has a lot of utility if you think out of the box as well. I have used it to mic everything from bass drums and bongos to guitars. I regularly use it to mount the tip jar. I have used it to secure and organize cord spaghetti on stage. Nice multi-use tool to have in your gig bag.

This kick/amp stand is one of the better that I have used. The stand is balanced well so you don't have to worry about it tipping over! I have used other stands in the past that aren't balanced right, but this one gets the job done!!

Audix DVice Drum Microphone Clamping System Review

Audix DVice Drum Microphone Clamping System
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
These are designed well as they are easy to attach to the hoops and easy to adjust. I'm not sure what microphone would stay in the mic clip because the vibrations from the drum will cause it to drop out of the clip and onto the head. I've used gaff tape to keep my sm57's in place and might see about getting some clamp type mic clips to see if that will do the trick.

Musician's Gear Double Microphone Attachment (Standard) Review

Musician's Gear Double Microphone Attachment (Standard)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Mic Clip threads bottom out against the black bar on the brass screws at rotations other than 90 degrees to the bar. Adjustments by turning brass threaded "thumb screws" out don't matter. It's like turning two nuts on a bolt to lock them. Turning the bolt will not change where the nuts lock because the bolt turns the same in each nut(mic clip and the black bar). If this unit had brass screws that had a space after the brass screw was all the way screwed into the black bar they would work well but they don't. The brass screws bottom out and tighten up against the black bar, So... a shim (one or two small pieces of electrical tape under each clip allow for clips to "bottom out" at 90 degrees to horizontal bar and then life is good. It was either a design or a manufacturing flaw. It's a shame because the picture of the unit leads one to assume the brass "Thumb" screws would tighten into the mike clip and not the black bar of the unit. The black bar should be "pinched" between the mike clip and the bottom of the brass "thumb screw". Oh well....

CAD PRO-7 7-Piece Drum Microphone Pack
Average Reviews:

I needed a set of drum mics for a recording and live project. I had no idea what to expect. With a limited budget, I went out on a limb and figured....whatever, I could always send them back. The band was shocked at the clearity and how hot the condensers are!!! The drum kit just blew up with sound. Since my purchase, I have thoroughly enjoed this product and if you are on a budget, you can't beat these microphones for their cost!!!!

Samson MB1 - Microphone stand - steel Review

Samson MB1 - Microphone stand - steel
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Product arrived on time within the time window seller provided. The reason I chose this stand over others is because of its weight. I wanted a bass mic stand that would not topple over with a heavier mic attached to its end. Product was in excellent shape, looks great and is pretty well constructed! The reason I say pretty well is that the piece that connects boom to stand is made of some type of plastic not steel like rest of stand... whatever.. Still works great and is very sturdy. Thank you!

I use this mount with the shure PG series drums mics, I also use this mount for my sm57(on my snare drum). It works great. I've used many other drum mic mounts such as the claw and other gadgets that seem to fall off during a gig. This is the best that I've found.

Music People DM50 On Stage DM50 Drum Mic Clip (Rim Mount) Review

Music People DM50 On Stage DM50 Drum Mic Clip (Rim Mount)
Average Reviews:

After I bought the Audix Fusion 6 mics I realized I had a problem... I managed to over look the fact that they didn't come with mounting hardware. After searching many sites and browsing different products I found these. The DM50's are rugged and are heavy duty enough that I don't have to worry about a missed stroke disaster. They install easily and work perfectly for amplification. Plus they are designed for perfect mic placement. I'd recommend the DM50 for a drummer at any stage of the game, whether touring, or recording. This is a very good product.

I expected something a little more solid than this. My 88key was wobbling 2-3 inches on the extremeties. I suppose I will weld it solid since I already bought it and need a keyboard stand but I really wanted something somewhat portable. I'd get a scissor type stand next time.

Musician's Gear Low Profile Desktop Stand Review

Musician's Gear Low Profile Desktop Stand
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I wound up buying a different one because this thing did not work at all for what they said it would. Sure, it is labeled as a desktop stand, I'm sure it would work fine for that. But in the description it said it would work as a kick drum mic stand, leading me to believe it would support a boom to get into the kick. It will not. There is no way this 4 inch circle could hold up a boom. It was a complete waste of money. They picture makes it seem a little bigger than it is, but make no mistake, this thing is tiny. 4 inches is even smaller than you'd think when you're actually holding the thing. If you need it for anything other than talking into on your desk, maybe for a podcast or whatever it is you use it for, then don't waste them money. Get something a few dollars more and save the trouble.

CAD Pro-4 Drum Microphone Pack Review

CAD Pro-4 Drum Microphone Pack
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I already have some high end condenser mics for drums but I needed some road worthy dynamic mics. These are
nice, come with clips and the case, Upon hooking them up it is easy to hear they have been fine tuned for the each drum. The snare mic does not sound the same as the tom mics or the kick mic, So CAD spent some effort in fine tunes these to do what they are designed to do. All at an unbeatable price.
