I've given these as a gift to my drummer last year, and purchased another pair recently as a showcase item for tradeshows (my company makes these awesome drumstick sleeves: [...]), so we made giant sleeves for these and they look fantastic!

Stage Ninja SMS-12-CB Multi-Positioning Scorpion Series Microphone Mount, 12-inch Review

I saw these guys at the NAMM show two years ago and thought it looked like a good idea. Simple - take a super strong spring clamp and attach a goose-neck, right? Darn straight! Well, it has a lot of utility if you think out of the box as well. I have used it to mic everything from bass drums and bongos to guitars. I regularly use it to mount the tip jar. I have used it to secure and organize cord spaghetti on stage. Nice multi-use tool to have in your gig bag.

Audix Fusion 15 Mic Review

Audix Fusion 15 Mic
Average Reviews:

The Fusion 15's (I bought 2) are proving to be a great value for the money. If you shop around like I did, you can get them for $70 each. Having a $70 mic for overheads on drum recording may sound like a real ham 'n egg operation, but these mics are really doing the job. You need to work on placement, just like with much more expensive mics, but once you've got right spot, the F-15's pick up everything - clearly. The gain on the board need not be cranked in order to pick up the crash cymbals correctly. With almost no efects added, the F-15 pick up the attack and decay of all cymbals, with again, amazing clarity. They also pick up, and add nicely to, the sound of the "drums" in your mix. You can go buy more expensive mics, but how much better they will sound, given the home recording setup, will not justify their purchase. Save your money - buy these. You can use the savings to buy more gear, or maybe some cold beer to sip while you listen to your great sounding tracks.

Firestix FX12BL Firestix Brilliant Blue Review

Firestix FX12BL Firestix Brilliant Blue

These definitely look kewl, but the acrylic is too soft, so the sticks flex as you strike. This provides an unpleasant "mushy" experience. Gripping them closer to the tip ameliorates the problem somewhat, but changes the dynamics.
These are fun to show your friends, but not really ready for primetime.

Brand New Audio Technica Drum-microphone Kit with 3 Snare/tom Mics and 1 Kick Mic Review

Very amazing sound quality from these mics. I used to them to record my drummer for an album. Turned out amazing. We used the bass drum, and tom mics from this kits. Add 2 mxl 991 pencil condensers, and a m-audio fast track ultra, and some nice mic placement you can produce some amazing drum recordings. There was some bleed into these mics, but it's all depending on your "style", mic placement, room, ect.... Overall these mics were crystal clear. No noise-floor interference. Best mic's for this price. These mic's really captured the attack, and body of the drums. Really brought them to life without much eq-ing.
