(More customer reviews)I was originally looking to purchase the new pearl demon pedal but as everybody on the planet knows we are in a recession and money is tight. 650 for the demon is a bit extravagant and fiscally unwise for me right now unless your Dennis Chambers and your recording with Santanna. The pedal is very smooth and built like a tank. I got this for live use at church services that at times lasts for hours and hours. right out of the case This pedal has executed flawlessly with little to no major adjustments. For the price and the quality DW has a made a wonderful durable pedal that will be with me for a long time. I love it! and I am very pleased with my purchase.

Gibraltar 9611DC-DB Dual Cam Drive-Double Pedal Review

(More customer reviews)I recently purchased the Gibralter 9611DD-DB as a replacement to my broken DW 8002 pedal. Having been very dissapointed in a pedal that gave me nothing but problems throughout the two years I owned it, I decided I didn't want to take that risk again on a more expensive pedal so instead chose to purchase a more modestly priced one. I was looking for something reliable and solidly constructed, and the Gibralter Intruder seemed to fit that description based on the reviews. Immediately upon opening the box and puting the pedal together, it felt both lightweight but still nearly as sturdy as my DW. What was most impressive were how easy it was to adjust the spring tension, beater head angle and beater distance to the drum, and the footboard height. This was a huge improvement over my DW, and it was very easy to keep the two pedals symmetrical with each other. When I started playing I was expecting it to feel a bit awkward at first, but immediately the pedals felt more natural than I had every experienced. Speed, control, and power were all much improved. It was so fun to play, and I had never previously realized how much of a difference can be made by having the right pedal. I gave this pedal 5 stars based on the quality for the price paid. That's not to say it's completely flawless. Three things I did notice are 1. I can see how the construction might not be optimally designed if you play with your footboard really high. Jared Falk points this out on his video review of the direct drive version of this pedal and I can certainly see why. To me it's not really a problem though since I keep my footboard hight just slightly higher than mid range. 2. It's a tight squeeze getting the pedal onto the bass drum, even wenn fully loosened - but once it's on, it's very stable. and 3. I did notice that the slave pedal has a tendency to move a bit with heavy playing even when screwed in, whereas my DW slave pedal never moved on me even unscrewed. However, this was noticed in my carpeted rehearsal studio and so I hope it will not be a problem on my rug at shows, otherwise I will need to figure out some way to fix that. Overall, this pedal far exceeded my expectations. If I were offered a free pedal, I would choose this one over all of the more expensive double pedals I've played on including my DW 8000, the DW 5000, and the Tama Iron Cobra.

NEW DOUBLE KICK DRUM PEDAL - ADJUSTABLE Professional Review

(More customer reviews)Sure, this pedal looks nice and is very inexpensive. But remember what all drummers say when you buy kick pedals: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
When I got the pedal, it was in parts and very loose, so this was definitely not "new."
The very same day I started drumming with this bass pedal, the left slave pedal kept falling down. So when I tightened it even harder, it just stripped completely and is now rendered useless.
Its customization sucks. In order to adjust the angle of elevation, you must use brutal force to turn the pedal.
Also, there's NO velcro or carpet screws. You'll have to have super thick carpet in order to keep these from moving around.
Do NOT purchase this pedal. Go for a more expensive route like Iron Cobras or Pulse Pro.

DW Drums 9000 Series Single Bass Drum Pedal with Bag Review

(More customer reviews)I've been a drummer for 20 years, and this by far is the best bass pedal I have ever played on. I owned the 5000 series double bass pedal for a long time. However, being that I really don't play double bass, I recently thought of going back to a signal bass pedal. As you probably know, a double bass pedal limits how close you can get your Hi-hat to your snare and I was getting tired of that limitation. So I pulled the trigger and went with the DW flagship 9000 series single pedal. This thing is a tank and a dream to play on. I also changed my 5000 series 2-leg Hi-hat to the 9000 series 3-leg Hi-hat. Love them both, kind of wish I had made this move years ago.

Gib strap drive double pedal Review

(More customer reviews)I've written many Drums,Cymbal and hardware reviews for a Major National Music chain store and I have to say this is one of my favorite product review. Even though it's not a total 5 star I give Gibralter a tip of the hat. I'll do this in PROS & CONS
FIRST THE PROS:1st-Cool looking waveboards that are thick & heavy to feel but,light when playing WOW!
2nd- the Slave pedal was awesome in all aspect.Velcro bottom,Black metal (ionized# and adjustable strap w/the option of connecting another pedal to it#nice#.
3rd-Solid heavy duty beaters that once again heavy to hold but, light on the feet.
4th-Master pedal was the same heavy metal as the slave pedal w/cool looking rod connecting master to slave which is adjustable to about a foot and a half. Also has 6 lug screws to cover both pedals-just like the higher end models.
5th-The Kevlar strap which is the main attraction to this(Velocity series)also stands up to the other big boys!
Now to the Cons:
1st-When I opened the box there was no manual which is important to players especial to people who have never had a DB-Pedal.
Luckly this wasn't my first DB Pedal, so it was just remembering your abc's then you remember how to assemble it.(which wasn't that hard for previous DB owners before#.
2nd-Unlike the Slave pedal the Master pedal has two rods coming from the heal board.#picture a Electric kit pedal).Why couldn't both pedals have the same footboards? I guess they have their reasons!
3rd-The tension Rods/springs are so tight that you have to get a small adjustable wrench to adjust them.Forget trying it with your hands-I tried!***Overall I like the action ,strap and velcro slave pedal.It's a great pedal to have instead of paying the price for the other big name brands.

Pearl P3000D Eliminator Demon Drive Single Bass Drum Pedal Review

(More customer reviews)There's no denying this pedal is one of the best on the market, however, it will take a while to get used to (especially if you haven't played a direct-drive pedal before). I got really frustrated with this pedal for the first two months of using it because there were so many ways to fine-tune it and I couldn't get the setting I wanted. Of course when I finally got it to where it was comfortable, it was amazing- better than anything else I've every tried or owned.
My advice: If you're a beginning or intermediate drummer don't get this pedal. It takes some very tight and well-developed foot technique to make it work well. However, for advanced or expert drummers- this pedal will allow you to maximize your speed and precision to no end.
