DW Drum Workshop 5000 Series Delta III Accelerator Double Bass Drum Pedal with Case Review

I was originally looking to purchase the new pearl demon pedal but as everybody on the planet knows we are in a recession and money is tight. 650 for the demon is a bit extravagant and fiscally unwise for me right now unless your Dennis Chambers and your recording with Santanna. The pedal is very smooth and built like a tank. I got this for live use at church services that at times lasts for hours and hours. right out of the case This pedal has executed flawlessly with little to no major adjustments. For the price and the quality DW has a made a wonderful durable pedal that will be with me for a long time. I love it! and I am very pleased with my purchase.

NEW DOUBLE KICK DRUM PEDAL - ADJUSTABLE Professional Review

NEW DOUBLE KICK DRUM PEDAL - ADJUSTABLE Professional
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Sure, this pedal looks nice and is very inexpensive. But remember what all drummers say when you buy kick pedals: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
When I got the pedal, it was in parts and very loose, so this was definitely not "new."
The very same day I started drumming with this bass pedal, the left slave pedal kept falling down. So when I tightened it even harder, it just stripped completely and is now rendered useless.
Its customization sucks. In order to adjust the angle of elevation, you must use brutal force to turn the pedal.
Also, there's NO velcro or carpet screws. You'll have to have super thick carpet in order to keep these from moving around.
Do NOT purchase this pedal. Go for a more expensive route like Iron Cobras or Pulse Pro.

New Double-Bass Drum Pedal Dual Chain Driven by Gammon Percussion Review

New Double-Bass Drum Pedal Dual Chain Driven by Gammon Percussion

Great value for the money! I am new to double bass drumming and this seems like a quality product. Double springs on the main pedal and a single spring on the slave. Nice beaters with full adjustment of the spread and height against the small Yamaha electronic kick pad. Works well!! I just wish it came with instructions, but then again, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to assemble it...wait a sec...I am a rocket scientist!

Gib strap drive double pedal Review

Gib strap drive double pedal
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've written many Drums,Cymbal and hardware reviews for a Major National Music chain store and I have to say this is one of my favorite product review. Even though it's not a total 5 star I give Gibralter a tip of the hat. I'll do this in PROS & CONS
FIRST THE PROS:1st-Cool looking waveboards that are thick & heavy to feel but, light when playing WOW!
2nd- the Slave pedal was awesome in all aspect.Velcro bottom,Black metal (ionized# and adjustable strap w/the option of connecting another pedal to it#nice#.
3rd-Solid heavy duty beaters that once again heavy to hold but, light on the feet.
4th-Master pedal was the same heavy metal as the slave pedal w/cool looking rod connecting master to slave which is adjustable to about a foot and a half. Also has 6 lug screws to cover both pedals-just like the higher end models.
5th-The Kevlar strap which is the main attraction to this(Velocity series)also stands up to the other big boys!
Now to the Cons:
1st-When I opened the box there was no manual which is important to players especial to people who have never had a DB-Pedal.
Luckly this wasn't my first DB Pedal, so it was just remembering your abc's then you remember how to assemble it.(which wasn't that hard for previous DB owners before#.
2nd-Unlike the Slave pedal the Master pedal has two rods coming from the heal board.#picture a Electric kit pedal). Why couldn't both pedals have the same footboards? I guess they have their reasons!
3rd-The tension Rods/springs are so tight that you have to get a small adjustable wrench to adjust them.Forget trying it with your hands-I tried!***Overall I like the action ,strap and velcro slave pedal. It's a great pedal to have instead of paying the price for the other big name brands.

Pacific Drums by DW 400 Series Double Pedal PDDP402 Review

Pacific Drums by DW 400 Series Double Pedal PDDP402

(More customer reviews)
When I purchased this pedal from a local music store I wasn't even looking for a double pedal set, but for a replacement for the pedal that came with my Tama Stagestar kit. During my quest for a pedal that had the feel I wanted I sat behind a Pacific drum kit that had these pedals. At first I ignored the second bass pedal and played a bit with just the right pedal and hi-hat. I liked the feel of the right pedal and was about to ask if the store had it in a single pedal configuration when I decided to see what it was like playing double. Wow - it immediately expanded my range and opened up a plethora of possibilities.
This pedal is nearly infinitely adjustable, especially cam rotation, spring tension, and beater offset. Most of the adjustments require a hex wrench, which is fairly standard for most modern single and double pedals. The left side slave pedal has a full floorplate, and the linkage rod that connects the right and left pedals will not bind at any angle I have tried. There is a slight lag on the left pedal, which is normal for any double pedal configuration, but you'll quickly compensate for that as you get used to a double pedal if you are moving from a single pedal.
Before I purchased this particular model I tried out Tama's Iron Cobra, Pearl's Powershifter and a Gilbralter Avenger. I did not like the stiffness of the Iron Cobra, but did like the Pearl and Gibraltar pedals. It finally came down to either this or the Gibralter, which was slightly smoother, but significantly more expensive. I opted for best value without sacrificing performance or quality and am thrilled with this pedal.
If you are moving from a single to double pedal configuration I strongly recommend that you give this one a serious look. More importantly, try out this pedal in a local store and compare it to other double models - selecting a bass pedal is a personal decision with many more factors than price, features and quality. It has to feel right. In addition, you will find that you will be using the double bass more than your hi-hat, which means that you will need to compensate. For that I recommend the Gibraltar hi-hat drop clutch (ASIN B0002F73YY), which will allow you to engage and disengage your hi-hat with ease. I have my hi-hats set for a slight opening in the normal closed position, but stepping on the hi-hat pedal - using the clutch - puts it in full play position. Tapping the lever on the clutch closes them again. This clutch is a perfect companion to a double bass pedal!

Pearl P2002C Eliminator Double Bass Drum Pedal, Chain Drive Review

Pearl P2002C Eliminator Double Bass Drum Pedal, Chain Drive
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This pedal is very smooth and has great response. I really enjoy the feel this pedal offers and the wide range of settings. With the different cams you can change the speed and power very quickly and it is so easy to switch the cams. This pedal is very sturdy and built for the road, being able to take a lot of abuse and coming with a great case. The springs have a felt in them to minimize any noise and squeaking, after 3 years I have not had any unwanted sounds coming from the spring, something that drove me crazy with the pedal I had before this one.
The only thing I did not like about this (or any Pearl pedal) is the stock beaters they come with. Being very large and somewhat heavy, I did use the beaters from my former pedal.
The DW 9002 is a little smoother, but not enough to pay the extra Benjamin's, and the Pearl pedal is faster and built better than the Iron Cobra.
Overall I am very satisfied with this equipment; it is a great addition to my set and has allowed me to get much quicker and tighter with my double bass chops.

First off... these cool designs you see on the pedals... DO NOT BUY THESE PEDALS FOR THE DESIGNS! The one you actually get are NOT the ones in the picture... the pedals are pretty plain looking, but they work pretty good so far...
