I use these sticks on a set of Roland TD-6's and they are the only thing that seem to hold up on the rubber pads. They feel and look great and hold up really well in all playing situations.

iDrum 1.7 Review

(More customer reviews)This is a good piece of drum software but not great. I like the way you can assemble drum kits from external wavs. Pattern editing is pretty easy and intuitive. But what I don't like is that they don't separate drumkits from patterns/songs. Which means your patterns are basically bound to the drumkit. If you want a separate set of patterns, then you have to save as to a new drumkit and create your patterns there. But what if you want to just change an instrument in your drumkit? Yep, you have to go to each saved drumkit and do them individually. If they were to separate the patterns from the drumkits, I'd rate it higher. But there aren't that many alternatives for simple drum machine software so I guess they have no motivation to improve.

Latin Percussion Aspire Accents Cajon, Sunburst Review

(More customer reviews)With the lack of reviews out there, I felt it was my duty to give this particular product some much needed attention since I knew nothing about them until I played one. (Note: I actually purchased the darker-wood version from a local Guitar Center so my review is solely on the actual product and not on Amazon's service.)
Before considering cajons, I never heard about Latin Percussion boxes. I only read reviews about Meinl and Pearl cajons so I never took this brand into consideration. I walked into the drum section of Guitar Center with my eyes closed, sat on every cajon and started playing. I am no drummer or expert but this little thing was extremely responsive. The snare portion was clear yet the low-end picked up every one of my finger's inputs. I even tried out the Meinl's that cost twice as much, yet they sounded like unresponsive crates compared to this thing. In all fairness, the high-end cajons probably get better with time, but this LP was amazing on the show room floor and out of the box. You can manipulate it to sound really well at low input, yet it's capable of a serious beating. The Meinl's seemed like they needed some real hard input to get anywhere near the same output.
I ended up going home with the LP Aspire based solely on sound. Not that I mind the psuedo-authentic look of natural wood, but the accented dark wood discretely blends in with other things in my bedroom. This is a plus if you're limited on storage space. Now that I think about it, the other cajons would stick out like bond-fire crate-wood in my little apartment.

Zoom G1N Guitar Multi Effects Pedal Review

(More customer reviews)The Zoom G1n is an absolutely amazing pedal for $50!! You won't regret this purchase. The pre-programmed sounds are good, and there's alot of variety, plus it is very easy to make-up and store your own sounds, too. I don't know how the G1n pre-programmed sounds compare to the original G1, but there are plenty of useable sounds for just about any style you want to play. Some are a bit over the top for me, so most of my own sounds are a little mellower. The tuner is great, and the drum machine is good, too (though I don't use it much). My only complaints are that the ZNR noise reduction seems a bit agressive to me, and I wish the housing was metal not plastic. I kinda wish I'd spent the extra money on the G2-- may have to upgrade later! But it still gets 5 stars. I bought the Zoom over the comparable digitec pedal because it has a nicer interface and it comes with a power plug included. This thing works great and makes any cheapo solid state practice amp sound way better than it is!! You would have to buy tons of stomp-boxes to get close to what you can do with this cool pedal. Recommended.
