Just sounds really cheap, not the brand but just this lower level skin... get one with a ring inside, this one doesn't have it and sounds tingy.

Evans ST Dry Drumhead, 14 Inch Review

Evans ST Dry Drumhead, 14 Inch
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have been playing drums for over 20 years and have tried many different snare heads. This one has nice tonality and absolutely no overtones! It is focused and dry which allows you to enjoy the clean sound without all those pesky sustained tones that muddle the snap. If you like obnoxious overtones and sustained resonances, this is definitely not for you. If you want a tight dry and powerful sounding head, get this. No muffling, o-rings, or duct tape required.

Evans EMAD 5-Piece Drumhead Pack Review

Evans EMAD 5-Piece Drumhead Pack
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Amazing! I was looking for a low cost but high quality head pack to replace the factory heads on my set. These totaly transformed the sound of it, and i would recomend them for players who play rock or related genres. The snare rings a little so i got some of that moongel stuff and the ring went away. The toms aren't wonderful, but they certainly dont sound like crap. (i probably dont have them tuned right, so thats why) The bass head is the best part, and it comes with dampening rings so you can adjust how low you want it to sound. I would reccomend that you tune the head just past the wrincle point to get the most punchy sound. I like it that way, but if you dont just tune them higher. I use these mostly for recording, but i have used them on-stage a few times. great buy, especially for the money.

Evans G2 Tompack, Coated, Fusion (10,12,14) Review

Evans G2 Tompack, Coated, Fusion (10,12,14)
Average Reviews:

After trying all the different drum heads on the market
I find nothing compares to Evans heads. As a professional
drummer I will use nothing else. I prefer the G2 coated heads as they
offer maximum resonance w/ minimum damping. They will make your drums sing and last a long time. I am a believer and I am not the only one.
Every pro drummer I know uses Evans and swears by them.
They are simply the best.

Evans EMAD System Pack, 22 Inch Review

Evans EMAD System Pack, 22 Inch
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I definitely like the idea they were a matched set. I was using old, beaten heads on my bass and needed something that would work better and look good, too. After I put these on, I could not believe I was playing the same bass drum. Now I have a tone that sounds more "musical" than just "thudding." I'm sure you could tune it to produce a nice, deep thud, too, but I really like the range of sounds I can create with this head set. There is a rim on the batter side that holds one of 2 included foam rings against the head. One is thicker in width than the other, allowing you to choose how much ring you want. The front port hole is just big enough to place a rolled up towel inside, but you'd need a small pillow if that's what you want. The thing is, I don't even use anything inside now. That's how controlled you can make it. If you want more of a thud, then add additional dampening, but, like I said, I prefer a more "musical" sound. Along with my Pearl B100DB Duo-Beat Beater, my upgraded bass drum now has the ability to cover a wide variety of sytles. The black color on front looks very cool, as well.

Aquarian Drumheads SKII22 Super-Kick II Double Ply 22-inch Bass Drum Head Review

Aquarian Drumheads SKII22 Super-Kick II Double Ply 22-inch Bass Drum Head
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
If you are reading this, then you are at least a little but curious about what Aquarian's Super kick II has to offer.
In 6 years of drumming, I have yet to find another kick head that matches up to this one. Simply put, it is the best thing out there. This bass drum head is great for several different reasons:
1. Extremely durable- You can beat the snot right out of this thing and it will hold up very well. The material is very strong, and there are TWO layers of it for extra strength.
2. Sounds incredible!- Its true. This bass drum head will completely transform the sound of your kit. I have thrown one of these on some of the crappiest kick drums ever crafted, and even they sounded good with it. I get compliments all the time on my kick. Super punchy and consistent.
3. Doesn't need muffling. For a live application, this head needs little to no padded muffling. Even in a normal house or practice room setting, the built in dual muffle rings act as a perfect device for keeping this drum head under control. If you want to add a little punch, throw in a very small t-shirt and it takes the edge off a bit.
I have even heard die hard Evans fans rave about these kick heads, they are just the best out there!

Evans EQ3 Resonant Smooth White Bass Drum Head, 22 Inch Review

Evans EQ3 Resonant Smooth White Bass Drum Head, 22 Inch
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
If you're looking for a smooth white resonant bass drum head, this drumhead by Evans I believe is one of the best. It has a 5" port already cut out for mic placement and also a muffling ring around the head on the backside of the drumhead. I like the opaque smooth white head compared to a coated bass drum head because a coated head could get dirty quicker, the smooth white surface is much easier to keep clean. This drumhead has made all my bass drums sound better and it looks great. A white resonant bass drumhead, to me, gives a drumset a brighter more noticeable appearance, no matter what the color is of the drum set. If the drumkit is vintage and the front head needs to be replaced, this drumhead will capture the retro look of the drums and probably improve the sound of the old drums too unless ofcourse you want a reso head with the brand name already on the head but you can always buy a sticker of the drum company to put on this drumhead. I've bought two of these heads, a 22" and a 24" and I'm very pleased with both of them.

I love this head. It gives just enough slap back, while maintaining that old school open ended heavy thump. Plan on getting another to put a different band logo on it. Don't see myself using anything else for a long while.

Pearl B100DB Duo-Beat Beater Review

Pearl B100DB Duo-Beat Beater
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This thing is great! I was still using my original, round felt head beater that got flattened out of shape. This thing works better and provides 2 impact options. The felt side sounds as good or better than traditional round felt beaters and the hard plastic side gives me a whole new sound and feel, a punchier, slightly louder tone. And it is more responsive when bouncing a couple of 16th notes off the bass drum, in my opinion. It also gives you the ability to quickly change your bass sound for the style of music you are playing at the time. For the price it is a no brainer upgrade. Just do it.

Evans REMAD Resonant Bass Drum Head, 22 Inch Review

Evans REMAD Resonant Bass Drum Head, 22 Inch
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This head is great!! Exactly the low end thump I was looking for! Evans has always made quality heads and this one does not disappoint. I have mine coupled with the Onyx 2 batterhead (black) and they make a great looking set as well as a sonically matched set. As close to perfect as you can hope for.
Buyer, beware the description, as you DO NOT get the interchangeable rings. Evans has since made a newer version with a fixed ring and lower port hole placement!! Know what you are buying!! Amazon and Evans needs to update the description!!
Definately recommend this head if you are looking for that low end missing from other heads. 5 stars for quality and functionality!!!!!

Evans EQ Double Pedal Patch, Clear Plastic Review

Evans EQ Double Pedal Patch, Clear Plastic
Average Reviews:

Really amazing product! The patches really hold up! I've had them for about 3 weeks now and still on the same patch (obviously right!)... and it has been holding up really well with all the constant beating on them! They make the bass sound more awesome and provide a really awesome kick sound to it, especially when you have plastic beaters! 2 for $5 is a fair deal! I bought 2 and it's well worth the money!

Aquarian Drumheads DKP2 Kick Pad Kick Pad accessory Review

Aquarian Drumheads DKP2 Kick Pad Kick Pad accessory
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the Aquarian Double Kick Drum Pad. I play mostly metal music (In Flames, Escape the Fate, Killswitch Engage), and it has protected my bass drum quite well. However, there was one issue that I'd like to notify any heavy metal drummer interested in this product; I'd suggest checking the leverage/tension on the kick pedals before playing to make sure to avoid hitting the pad too hard. I say this because the Kick Pad I have is wearing out somewhat quickly after only a month of use, which is pretty obvious from all the white dust that part of the pad has disintegrated into where the kick pedal is located. Also, while I'm pretty sure I'm playing too hard, it may be that the pad isn't the highest quality, and there may be pads out there that have a better endurance rate.
