Meinl Kenny Aronoff Steelbell 8 small mouth hand hammer Review

Meinl Kenny Aronoff Steelbell 8 small mouth hand hammer
Average Reviews:

If you're looking for a big, loud cowbell to beat the crap out of, this is it. I picked this one up and and cuts through everything. It comes with two rubber squares to stick to the cowbell to protect it and to dampen the sound but it just doesn't cut it that way.
It sounds great, looks great and I'd receommend it for sure.

I'm a pretty experienced drummer but I never had this little set up so I thought I would buy it, try it out, and see what it would be like. Very happy with it, great quality, simple design and set up, and very easy to set up. Highly recommend it for a simple add-on.

Pearl PCB4 Primero 4" Cowbell Review

Pearl PCB4 Primero 4 Cowbell
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This cowbell is not too great.
The sound is far too high-pitched and rings out way longer than a cowbell should.
It doesn't even sound like a cowbell unless I put a sock in it.
I am a bit disappointed in my purchase, but I guess it could be worse.

This is a wonderful product. Great look, clear cutting sound from the jingles, and the mount is very handy and cool. Also, the rubber around the top helps prevent the audible stick attack, so all you can hear are the wonderful jingle tones.

Nice rubberized handle. Hard to adjust to mid length, they tend to want to be all out or all in the slide. Overall very satisfied with the product.

I've tried several types but I find this one the best. For some reason the white one sounds better in comparison to same brand different colors; why? I have no idea, it could be just me.
Anyway this is a good product!

Meinl 8-inch & 10-inch Mini Timbale/Drummer Timbale Review

Meinl 8-inch and 10-inch Mini Timbale/Drummer Timbale
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Right out of the box, these were tuned perfectly and I haven't had to touch them since. They attach easily to a cymbal stand and are in easy reach next to the floor tom....2 words of caution, though....I bought the Meinl MC1 adjustable clamp to mount them....it's not quite "heavy duty" enough....you may be better off with a (more expensive) Gibraltor product. Also, make sure that the stand that you are attaching them to is heavy duty as well---these babies are HEAVY and will easily tip over a weaker stand.
All that being said, the Meinl Mini Timbales are a quality product and sound as good or better than the more expensive Pearl, LP or Taye models. The tone and timbre are brilliant and the rim shots are crisp and clean. Add a cowbell, jam block and mini crash within reach and you're ready to add a Latin flare to whatever project you are working on.

This mount let me put my cowbell where I needed to put it. I have a relatively large kit and space is tight. This allowed me wedge the cowbell in a tight spot where a conventional mount wouldn't let me. Fantastic! Very sturdy too.

Zildjian 20-Inch A Custom Sizzle Ride Cymbal Review

Zildjian 20-Inch A Custom Sizzle Ride Cymbal
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
If you've never played on a sizzle before it takes some getting used to because of the sustain. However, it is an essential sound in R&B and some jazz, especially for slower tempo using triplets.
This particular model sounds identical to my 30+ year old Avedis Zildjian 20" - even the sustain is the same. Do not expect a lot of definition from this (or any other sizzle) because they were designed for a drawn out washy sound with slightly less than moderate definition.
If you're unsure about getting a sizzle, a great compromise is the 19" Zildjian Armand Signature Ride (ASIN B0002GFNF4). That cymbal has a three-rivet cluster near the edge, but has higher definition and less sustain and wash. I have both the Armand and regular sizzle models, so there is a difference in tone and texture these cymbals produce.
