Sabian Cymbal Bag Standard Review

Sabian Cymbal Bag Standard
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
A nice, padded cymbal bag, with internal separators coming handy when you have multiple cymbals (up to 6 pieces of metal).
There's also a nice outer pocket for sticks / the metronome, and finally, you can decide if you want to carry it on your shoulder or as a packpack.

Sabian AAX Studio Crash Cymbal, Brilliant, Brilliant 16 Inches Review

Sabian AAX Studio Crash Cymbal, Brilliant, Brilliant 16 Inches
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a great tool if you are looking for a quick sharp attact, but still want some body with it. Being a smaller crash it has great high overtones and quick delay, but it is much larger than a spash so it has more sustain and heaviness.
I love the bright crash cymbals, Sabian AAX or Zildjian A custom, and this is one cymbal that fits the mold very well. I use it for many applications from live playing, recording, rock/pop, to jazz/funk. Always in my cymbal bag whenever and wherever I play.

What They're Saying
"The arrival of AAX changed everything. It's so efficient, so effective, so modern." --Daniel Adair

"AAX is a secret weapon. Tap it or slam it, it always delivers. I mix AAX and APX. Now that's a wicked combo!" --Ray Luzier

Play the Right Cymbals
Every cymbal has its strengths and limitations. Hitting a smaller or thinner cymbal harder and harder to get a bigger sound or make it louder isn't the answer. It wasn't designed to be so loud. So don't use small, thin cymbals for high-volume, hard-hitting playing (unless you want a contrast in your set-up... but don't hit them as hard as the rest.) For volume, power and durability, choose bigger and heavier models. And consider the brighter sounding series, like AA, AAX, PRO and Sonix. Their sounds are higher pitched and more effective at cutting through a loud band. Lower pitched series, like Hand Hammered and HHX, also offer models suitable for powering any style of music.

Sabian 16 Inch B8 Thin Crash Review

Sabian 16 Inch B8 Thin Crash
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have two and love them! I play all kinds of music and they sound awesome at any price but the fact that they are so cheap is incredible! I play in a Neil Diamond tribute band and they are extra sensitive for that but I also play mostly metal and they are ALWAYS loud enough. They have such a beautiful tone that dosent get tinny with age like the Zildjian's and Paiste's do and are less expensive to boot, plus are way more durable. Ive alway maintained that I can break a Zildjian at will. They use what seems to be a softer more inferior grade alloy. Some of them sound realy nice but it's realy only a matter of time till they break and your heart right with it. Some Paiste's sound realy great too but its also just a matter of time with those too, also they get realy trashy with age. I recently played a gig where another drummer was gonna let me use his old 2002 ride. I was thinking well it probably sounds better than my b8 ride god knows 2002's cost like 4 or more times what a Sabian b8 costs. So I set it up. I sounded like HELL! I threw my b8 back up so fast! the b8's are louder and are more sensitive at lower volumes than any Paiste and age way better.
I have I think broken a couple Sabians over the years ( I've played them since they came out!)but I don't "know" I'm going to break them and when I did it was more like a fluke. The ones I broke were a long time ago and cymbal technology has gotten so much better I feel it would be another fluke if I broke one again. But bottom line the sound awesome plus they're cheap. If anyone tells you different don't listen, find out for yourself because I LOVE them. ther is a store near me that has a stack of 16" thin crashes (my favorite. don't like the heavier b8's so much) and if I had the money I'd buy the whole stack and not regret it! LOL

Zildjian Finger Cymbal Pair Thick Review

Zildjian Finger Cymbal Pair Thick
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Just received both a pair of thick and a pair of thin Zildjian finger cymbals for our band program. The cymbals are excellent. We bought them sight unseen from our main vendor, and were unaware that "some assembly is required," as the elastic is not initially attached but can be adjusted to the desired length and then should be stitched in place. This is inconvenient if you want to begin using them immediately, but it is nice to be able to customize the elastic bands to suit the size of the students in our band program.
As for the earlier one-star review, clearly that reviewer is not aware of all of the uses for finger cymbals, as it would make little sense for the average band program or orchestra to purchase two pairs of identical cymbals. Belly dancers might do better to purchase their zils from a website that specializes in cymbals for that purpose. Zildjian is primarily a band/orchestra/drum set cymbal vendor, and makes the best cymbals in the world for those purposes. Caveat emptor: do your research before you buy.

Sabian AAX 13" Fast Hi Hat Cymbals (Brilliant Finish) Review

Sabian AAX 13 Fast Hi Hat Cymbals (Brilliant Finish)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've been drumming for 12 years, and these are my third set of hi hats. I played with my old 13" B8 hats for years and they were great too. But these hi hats are way better for accenting and stick definition. It has a fairly thin top, but a heavy vented bottom (the vents in the bottom help define your sticking and give a nice, crisp *click* sound when you close the hats). I like the higher pitched sound from the 13" hats as well.
However, if you play your cymbals hard, you might look elsewhere because I could see the top hat breaking easily. And if you're a beginner, you really don't need 240 dollar hi hats (just get the Sabian B8 hats until you've played longer). I mostly play funk, ska, rock, and indy so I don't bash my stuff as much. I've had them for three years & I plan on getting another set if these do break.

Vision VSX
Based on the original Vision formula, VSX drumsets feature blended Birch Ply shells with 6/8 technology. Lower frequencies require greater energy to project equally to match the high frequencies produced by smaller drums. Vision's combination of 6 ply rack toms and 8 ply floor toms and bass drums deliver a dynamically balanced sound. Pearl offers 9 standard VSX configurations, more than any other drum manufacturer. VSX comes standard with a brushed steel SensiTone snare drum and award-winning 900 Series hardware. VSX drumsets are available in 6 Ultra-Exotic wrapped coverings.

6/8 Shell Construction 6 plies in the rack tom shells and 8 plies in the floor tom and bass drum shells provide an amazingly balanced sound, unprecedented for this category.

Birch/Basswood shell with Birch inner plyAfter thorough research, Pearl discovered that the inner ply of a drum shell has the greatest effect on the tonal quality of the drum. Therefore, putting Birch on the inner ply of these drums gives them a naturally "EQ'd," punchy tone with enhanced projection and sustain.

Professional two ply headsTwo ply heads are easier to tune, and deliver a full, powerful sound right out of the box.Vision is the only series in its category to be packaged with two ply heads.

Very jazzy, very pretty, very expressive. A great cymbal with lots of versatility. My only complaint is that I wish it was a tiny bit louder. It sounds so great, it has changed the way I play somewhat. It calls out like a siren, beckoning you to strike it, luring you away from your hi-hats. I am very satisfied.

Sabian Logo Renewal Kit Review

Sabian Logo Renewal Kit
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I ordered this product thinking that it was a stencil that I could reuse many times to detail all my cymbals. What was included was basically a vinyl sticker that is placed on your cymbal for you to simply color in the spaces with the provided permanent marker or paint pen. This vinyl sticker can only be used one time and falls apart upon removal. The marker that came in my kit was dried up. I used a large Sharpie permanent marker. The end result looked nice, but scratched off with absolutely no effort. I ended up cleaning off the "renewed" logo and keeping my newly polished cymbals bare. I will not purchase another kit.

Sabian HHX Evolution Promotional Set Review

Sabian HHX Evolution Promotional Set
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
After hitting away at some Sabian B8's for a number of years, wuhans, these were a must. I have played on Zildjian products (not too exciting), other Sabians (AA's). HHX tops them all. The ride has a nice crisp dry ping on the bell, and a textured washy sound on the rest. The high hats are stunning. The O-Zone is like a washy crash, and has a very distinct sound. My favorite cymbal though is the crash. Its dark, expressive, and competes directly with Zildjian's "K" line. Get these cymbals and you will not be disappointed.
