In the studio or on stage, in every style of music, only AAX delivers such consistently bright, crisp, clear, and cutting responses. AAX is the ultimate Modern Bright sound.

What They're Saying
"The arrival of AAX changed everything. It's so efficient, so effective, so modern." --Daniel Adair

"AAX is a secret weapon. Tap it or slam it, it always delivers. I mix AAX and APX. Now that's a wicked combo!" --Ray Luzier

Play the Right Cymbals
Every cymbal has its strengths and limitations. Hitting a smaller or thinner cymbal harder and harder to get a bigger sound or make it louder isn't the answer. It wasn't designed to be so loud. So don't use small, thin cymbals for high-volume, hard-hitting playing (unless you want a contrast in your set-up... but don't hit them as hard as the rest.) For volume, power and durability, choose bigger and heavier models. And consider the brighter sounding series, like AA, AAX, PRO and Sonix. Their sounds are higher pitched and more effective at cutting through a loud band. Lower pitched series, like Hand Hammered and HHX, also offer models suitable for powering any style of music.

Squier by Fender Stop Dreaming-Start Playing Set: Affinity Special w/ Fender 15G Amplifier, Metallic Blue Review

Squier by Fender Stop Dreaming-Start Playing Set: Affinity Special w/ Fender 15G Amplifier, Metallic Blue

If you are looking for your first guitar and don't want to invest alot of money, this is a good guitar. The amp that this pack comes with is good for the first month or so, then it starts to sound plain and makes the sound seem dry. The guitar is not to be blamed; if it was plugged into something with more effects or sounds it would be much better. The strings that it comes with are terrible, throw them away right away. They rust and loose tone after 2 days of using them. The only awfull thing about the guitar itself is the neck. When it arrived, it had a bow. When I took it to a guitar shop they said it was the worst they have ever seen. I left it with them and it got fixed so it isn't permanent. Also, the bridge and neck pickup hum alot. To fix that just use either the neck/middle or bridge/middle pickups, or get away from anything electronic.

This guitar is worth more than what you pay for. I have to warn that amplifier is not a good one in this package. It emits weird noises intermittently. Best thing for a budding guitarist.

Sabian 21 Inch HHX Groove Ride Review

Very jazzy, very pretty, very expressive. A great cymbal with lots of versatility. My only complaint is that I wish it was a tiny bit louder. It sounds so great, it has changed the way I play somewhat. It calls out like a siren, beckoning you to strike it, luring you away from your hi-hats. I am very satisfied.

Shure SM57 Microphone Review

Shure SM57 Microphone
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
If there's a workaday mic in the world, used by every studio in existence as well as on just about every stage, it's the SM57. Generally regarded as about the best general-purpose amp mic there is, it's also used for instruments, vocals (yes, vocals), ambience, drums, and anything else you can think of. No mic fits every circumstance, voice, or instrument, but I guarantee you, the SM57 is right in the top dozen or so on the list when it comes to trying to fit a mic to a given situation. It's indestructible, sounds good, and is inexpensive. You really don't have a complete mic kit unless you have a few. I have several, and use them all the time. Look for deals and buy them when they go on special.

Fender Frontman 25R Electric Guitar Amplifier Review

Fender Frontman 25R Electric Guitar Amplifier
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I just bought this and the 15 watt Spider Line-6. This Fender is far cleaner sounding, and had a lot more volume with almost no distortion at all. The Spider Line-6 is way inferior even though it has more bells and whistles. I'm adding this comparison because I bought the Spider Line-6 first, and wasn't pleased with it, so I ended up speanding a second $100 to get this Fender Frontman which I am well pleased with. So if you're comparing these two amps, my vote goes for the Fender by a mile. (although the Fender has reverb only, so if you're looking for a distorted sound then maybe you'll like the Spider Line-6 better). But if you want CLEAN sound and lots of volume without distoration, this Fender Frontman is the way to go! I'm well pleased with it.
This also has plenty of volume for actual performances in small places. I can't imagine wanting more volume in a small bar or cafe unless you are trying to hurt people's ears.
