(More customer reviews)Wow! Every community drum circle or theater department needs one of these amazing drums for color and depth / sound effects. This Remo gathering drum does have a beautiful, deeply rich sound that resonates... unexpected quality for a product in this price range and intended audience. This is a nice-sized, well-made drum, and two people can easy play it together with the mallets or with their hands. (Three small children could play together as well). We prefer to play with the mallets going from the edge of the drum head to its center. The feet of this drum are a nice touch, and they probably add to the sound quality by raising the instrument the floor a few inches. Though the drum is intended for children, we like the fact that it does not look like a child's drum....like the other Remo product with all the animals. The rainbow pattern is pretty--no age defining graphics; thus, adults will be attracted to this drum if they encounter it at a drum circle.
Use this product with thunder tubes, egg shakers, and boomwhackers to create a fantastic rainstorm, either for drum circle fun, percussion lessons, or theatrical productions.
