(More customer reviews)My dad got me this for my birthday and i'll tell ya, its sounds pretty good. Its a bit kangy, but its great for beginners. Its almost "too explosive" though, its very loud, but it has that quality trashy sound you're looking for. When i put in ear plugs and then hit this thing (i use it inverted because i like the sound a little better) it sounds professional, so trashy, yet so awesome. 4 out of 5 because its a little too loud, almost hurts your ears, just wear ear plugs and this thing is as good as a hand hammered one.
