Percussion Plus Bongo Stand Review

Percussion Plus Bongo Stand
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I ordered this product through a different online store but wanted to share a very quick review with you.
I purchased this for use with my LP Matador bongos. These must be the heaviest bongos you can buy. With this stand, I am able to brace them firmly. I can hit them as hard as I need to and thanks to the stand's build and weight, there's no sway or movement. What I am trying to say, in a few words, this is a very solid stand and I did no have to make any special changes to it to work perfectly with my LP's. If you have a different brand of bongo, I cannot comment as to the fit but the bracket is universal and should work well with pretty much any type of bongos.
Compared to other stands I considered (online), this is a very solid buy at a very aggressive price.

This is a good design for a product which may have some use for some people. It packs flat and there are no moving parts. That's good. It is heavy which is necessary for a product expected to hold up under playing conditions.

Pacific Drums by DW 800 Series Snare Stand Review

Pacific Drums by DW 800 Series Snare Stand
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I guess being a 'older' drummer I'm expecting too much for my money these days. The stand is ok. It does the job, its steady, and holds my snare, so its worthy of 3 stars. If I was playing out night after night this stand would not last. I'm just not knocked out by the quality. The 'rubber' parts of the basket are really plastic, and the 'nut' underneath the basket is plastic as well. We all know how plastic does when its up against metal. The stand appears strong, but I have my doubts about the durability. The metal feels 'cheap'...Time will tell. I'd probably have to go into the $100 + range to get the quality that I expected here, which is sad. I had my last snare stand for over 30 years. We'll see how long this one holds out.
As far as Amazon part in this ..Delivery was quick, price competative, 5 stars for them..

This item serves its purpose quite well.... but the only issue is that the arms for the brace could have been 3 inches longer... but the concept is very nice....

Sound Percussion Double Boom Cymbal Stands - 2-pack Review

Sound Percussion Double Boom Cymbal Stands - 2-pack
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought these as an upgrade to my son's drum set. I tend to favor the Pearl equipment and had reviewed several of their stands when I happened to see these stands on Musician Friend. As a result of the low price, I had my doubts about the stands, but the reviews were glowing so I took the plunge. You should too, these are outstanding stands. When I opened the box and felt the quality of the stand, I was amazed. They have all of the features of the Pearl stands that I reviewed in the $150 range.
The finish is perfectly smooth and there is the right balance of weight to the stand. The boom completely hides in the stand body when you need to transport the stand. You can adjust the height via the extension and the three legs. You can adjust the tilt angle of the boom and of course you can rotate both the extension and boom 360 degrees (the boom has knurled sections, which improves the holding clamp's grip). The boom and cymbal holder tilts are both notched (a great benefit).
I am also impressed by the cymbal washer and spacer. My son used the Aquarian Cymbal Spring to allow the cymbals to ring better. We did not want to risk damaging the threads on the new SP stands so we used their cymbal washer and spacer. The cymbal have the same perfect ring.
In conclusion, these are awesome cymbal stands. They look great and function even better. You cannot go wrong with these and I cannot understand how anyone can rate them anything less than five stars.

"Pro Quality" should not be in the name. You get what you pay for. Needed this for my son for a drum not used frequently, so didn't want to spend a lot. Couldn't find anything cheaper. Decent build, but nothing that would hold up to serious use or gigs.

PDP PDP 700 Series Boom Cymbal Stand 2-Pack Review

PDP PDP 700 Series Boom Cymbal Stand 2-Pack
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The phrase "you get what you pay for" certainly applies to these stands. Even though they're double-braced, they're pretty thin and wobbly. If you're just looking to mount a couple of crashes, these will fit the bill. Just don't try to mount anything extra, like a tom, or the stands will wobble unless you set the legs extra wide. My advice? Spend a little more and get a solid Pearl stand. You'll be much happier.

Audix DVice Drum Microphone Clamping System Review

Audix DVice Drum Microphone Clamping System
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
These are designed well as they are easy to attach to the hoops and easy to adjust. I'm not sure what microphone would stay in the mic clip because the vibrations from the drum will cause it to drop out of the clip and onto the head. I've used gaff tape to keep my sm57's in place and might see about getting some clamp type mic clips to see if that will do the trick.

Musician's Gear Double Microphone Attachment (Standard) Review

Musician's Gear Double Microphone Attachment (Standard)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Mic Clip threads bottom out against the black bar on the brass screws at rotations other than 90 degrees to the bar. Adjustments by turning brass threaded "thumb screws" out don't matter. It's like turning two nuts on a bolt to lock them. Turning the bolt will not change where the nuts lock because the bolt turns the same in each nut(mic clip and the black bar). If this unit had brass screws that had a space after the brass screw was all the way screwed into the black bar they would work well but they don't. The brass screws bottom out and tighten up against the black bar, So... a shim (one or two small pieces of electrical tape under each clip allow for clips to "bottom out" at 90 degrees to horizontal bar and then life is good. It was either a design or a manufacturing flaw. It's a shame because the picture of the unit leads one to assume the brass "Thumb" screws would tighten into the mike clip and not the black bar of the unit. The black bar should be "pinched" between the mike clip and the bottom of the brass "thumb screw". Oh well....

I needed a set of drum mics for a recording and live project. I had no idea what to expect. With a limited budget, I went out on a limb and figured....whatever, I could always send them back. The band was shocked at the clearity and how hot the condensers are!!! The drum kit just blew up with sound. Since my purchase, I have thoroughly enjoed this product and if you are on a budget, you can't beat these microphones for their cost!!!!

Samson MB1 - Microphone stand - steel Review

Samson MB1 - Microphone stand - steel
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Product arrived on time within the time window seller provided. The reason I chose this stand over others is because of its weight. I wanted a bass mic stand that would not topple over with a heavier mic attached to its end. Product was in excellent shape, looks great and is pretty well constructed! The reason I say pretty well is that the piece that connects boom to stand is made of some type of plastic not steel like rest of stand... whatever.. Still works great and is very sturdy. Thank you!

Gibraltar Djembe Drum Stand Review

Gibraltar Djembe Drum Stand
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased this stand for gigs because I obviously do not want to stand up the whole gig so I was thinking this would be a good fit for my set up. I play sitting down on a drum stool and have 2 congas infront of me and my djembe and stand to the left of me (call me lazy but I'm 23 and already have back problems). I actually do not have the stand set up like it is displayed in the picture with the man standing over it. I decided to bring the djembe straight down so its level with my congas, I wanted a flat surface to hit so I could get flush hits with the right accents. Now, this produced some minor problems but still slightly annoying.
First, the stand begins to make metallic creeking sounds when I play for an extended time, I believe the sound is coming from the hook that goes into the bottom of the djembe. I usually have the bottom of my djembe MICed up with a separate boom stand so I can pick up the full bass tones, unfortunately it sometimes picks up the creeking. I try to correct the situation by resting my knee under the belly of my djembe and it dampens the creeks. (I constantly tighten everything on the stand too)
Secondly, no matter what position you play in you will still want to possibly put a sand bag or something pretty damn heavy to keep the stand rock solid; although the throne part will still shake. I play next to the drummer on his carpet so without out my giant rock on the back feet my djembe moves all over while I play, and I find myself panicking trying to keep it still while I play and attempt to keep time with one hand hah. (My djembe is 14'' and is under 10lbs)
So, the stand will get the job done for the most part, another thing that somewhat bothers me is the rubber nubs on the throne that go into my tuning strings. It just makes me nervous cause I have to put the rubber nubs between the strings and spread them, its mostly designed for like a non authentic djembe. I think the stand gets the job done once you get it all figured out, just wish it was cheaper or more solid. All in all the price should get lowered to like 80, or they should improve the quality to make it fit its price range.

I expected something a little more solid than this. My 88key was wobbling 2-3 inches on the extremeties. I suppose I will weld it solid since I already bought it and need a keyboard stand but I really wanted something somewhat portable. I'd get a scissor type stand next time.
