(More customer reviews)At first I was worried when buying this online as I could not examine the quality. Let me assure you, if you are looking for durability and toughness, this IS the bag for you. The zippers are big so they wont get stuck like the little ones always seem to do. I'm not sure if the first reviewer noticed but all of the foam insterts have nice small hidden zippers so in a few years you can just buy new foam. The bottom is made of rubber so there is no worry of that. The bags fabric is not cheap, and the stiching on the handles is top shelf. I expect this bag to last 10 years.
The shipping was fast, but was more expensive than I would normally pay. I'm hoping that some of those cost go towards the Africa Heartwood Project.

(More customer reviews)I have not yet bought this bag, but I am saving up to do so. I am tired of my old low-resolution djembe bag. My strap and carry handle are sort of grainy - I know there's better technology out there. Also, I particularly like the 12VDC feature, so I can use a transformer and wall plug with it, instead of lugging around those thirty AAA batteries my old bag used. A better gig bag all around, I think, and look at that viewing angle! Upside down - who knew? This will definitely move my playing up a notch!

(More customer reviews)I took a chance on this product because I liked the idea of having a handmade bag for my djembe drum rather than some boring, cloned factory thing. When I visited this page, there were some interesting images and brief descriptions, but no reviews. Also, there was no "choice" or selection button to choose a particular bag, which meant that the seller would send me the product, but the sender would choose the color / design for me. I wouldn't know what the product look like until I received it--a total surprise. Nevertheless, I went ahead with the purchase because I wanted a bag; the given samples seemed to be interesting and tasteful. Well, I received my bag today, and I am very impressed with the product (see the customer images section for a view) and the seller's quick service. I actually liked the pattern / style that was chosen for me, sort of a black and clay color, with African motif; I liked it even better than the sample ones pictured! :) The bag feels sturdy, well-made, and it seems to be the perfect travel for my instrument. It's a pleasure to show! An unusual instrument deserves an unusual bag.
NOTE: Remember, this is a handmade product, so If you order, please expect unique colors / styles, stitching, and other human elements. In my opinion, the handmade nature adds to the beauty and uniqueness of the bag.

I had about 2" of head room at the top Which I filled with a piece of foam.The padding around the entire drum is awesome.It more than holds up to a few "drops" or slips down a hill.The back pack straps a comfortable as well;real nice if you have to
take longer hikes to the drum circle.Considering that most plain,average looking bags cost the same,if not more,the design and color are great bonus.I highly recommend(drummer of 20 years).

The strap is not very comfortable with the weight of a Wooden Djembe if you are walking a good distance or carrying it on your bag to class on a Lambretta. Also on one side the seam has come undone a bit so I have to sew it up soon.

Heavy Duty Djembe Bag, Water Resistant - Large Review
