(More customer reviews)I had been looking for a Bass Drum Cymbal holder that was nicer than the old Ludwig models and the freely available Gibraltar model. The DW model is top notch.
The bass drum I was drilling it into had an unusually thick shell, so the screws included weren't long enough. I found matching screws at Home Depot with no problem, and I noticed that even the screws DW included were very nice quality, not cheap 2 cent screws you might expect.
One piece of advice, I guesstimated that the correct placement to screw into the bass drum was about halfway through. Now I am wishing I had mounted it a lot closer to the batter (beater) side of the bass drum. I looked at my friends vintage Rogers set and his mount was mounted very close to the batter side.
The only criticism I have is that it might look a little out of place on a vintage style set.
