The Sound Shapers kill enough noise and overtones so you can use regular sticks in rehearsal without destroying people's ears. If you have more than 3 cymbals (ride, hi-hat, and crash) then you should order 2 of these - not all of the sizes are particularly useful, but they're cheap enough that it's well worth the cost of another set.
