(More customer reviews)Watch and learn from Tim Wimer. The instruction DVD assists an instructor in teaching the art of playing the drums, reading beats, stick techniques and rudiments of drumming. I like the music that allows student to play with recorded musicians to develop an ear and feel to play with a rhythm section. Tim also has an audio only version of this product. He's good.
Taught students for a few years using this book as a supplement to playing other various styles of music. Students like to play their own stuff eventually, but this gives them some drills & lessons to assist them develop as drummers.

The Intro to Drums DVD by Tim Wimer is a 60 minute video lesson designed for the absolute beginner. The course starts on the snare drum and concentrates on stick control, counting and playing rhythms, and correct technique. It then progresses to the full drum kit, showing in detail several rhythm patterns and playing along with a full band to 5 songs. Our unique split screens show both hands and both feet in detail, with notation on screen and a bouncing ball type pointer showing each note as it's being played. This is a comoplete beginners guide on how to play drums.
