Meinl String Cajon Black Makah-Burl Bundle with Bag Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is definitely not my first Meinl cajon, but it is my best, hands down. I've played multiple shows in the southeast with this with a mic about 4" behind it, it sounds great. Amazing product from an amazing company. Shipped quickly and got here in perfect condition. Thanks!

Schalloch Cajon Natural Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I received my Cajon about a couple weeks ago. I ordered it through Musician's Friend website because they offer free shipping (the drum itself was the same price as amazon). I bought it to learn on. So far it has held up well. It is the perfect price and quality for someone who isn't too serious or care too much about professional sounds. I'm sure there are better made ones out there, but this would be perfect for just a casual acoustic setting. It is also able to be tuned.

Gon Bops Alex Acuna Signature Series Cajon Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)simply did not cover my expectations, I get the cajon
to knock on wood, or worse, as they will not give
that is not in perfect condition, on the other hand the
Amazon site offers very little reported about
product, only shows the photograph of the instrument
front, when the most important thing is to know how this fact
inside, this type of cajon does not use strings or snare,
is made of pure wood and could only get 3
sounds unlike any you can mark where
Use with rope or snare or without increasing
versatility.
Buy this mark by the renowned musician who
ALEX ACUNA sponsors but as I get a cajon
broken wood ... is a disappointment, it is a fragile instrument and amazon do not take precautions in the office
I suggest that before buying to ensure it is what
I with respect to a cajon, the cajon is not very versatile, and try to buy it in stores directly
This online shopping experience no benefits,
if the instrument gets broken beaten you so
to stay. Amazon bad very bad ...

Latin Percussion Aspire Accents Cajon, Sunburst Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)With the lack of reviews out there, I felt it was my duty to give this particular product some much needed attention since I knew nothing about them until I played one. (Note: I actually purchased the darker-wood version from a local Guitar Center so my review is solely on the actual product and not on Amazon's service.)
Before considering cajons, I never heard about Latin Percussion boxes. I only read reviews about Meinl and Pearl cajons so I never took this brand into consideration. I walked into the drum section of Guitar Center with my eyes closed, sat on every cajon and started playing. I am no drummer or expert but this little thing was extremely responsive. The snare portion was clear yet the low-end picked up every one of my finger's inputs. I even tried out the Meinl's that cost twice as much, yet they sounded like unresponsive crates compared to this thing. In all fairness, the high-end cajons probably get better with time, but this LP was amazing on the show room floor and out of the box. You can manipulate it to sound really well at low input, yet it's capable of a serious beating. The Meinl's seemed like they needed some real hard input to get anywhere near the same output.
I ended up going home with the LP Aspire based solely on sound. Not that I mind the psuedo-authentic look of natural wood, but the accented dark wood discretely blends in with other things in my bedroom. This is a plus if you're limited on storage space. Now that I think about it, the other cajons would stick out like bond-fire crate-wood in my little apartment.
