(More customer reviews)I have only owned this strap a few weeks, so I can not comment on its quality in the long term. BUT I must say this is very well made. The shoulder straps have very thick padding, which is very helpful if you have a heavy drum and/or play for long periods of time. The cloth covering the straps is very similar to that in the picture but much more red, and I like the red version better too. The djembe is held to the strap by a hook. The hook is attached to a thick leather plate. The whole thing feels very sturdy. I wear a XXXL Shirt and this is really tight on me, but I can bear it. I use this strap on my Rope Tuned Djembe and my Remo Djembe. All I did was take a small piece of rope and make a loop around a couple tuning ropes, and on the Remo I made a small loop around the tuning bolt. Then slide the loop over the hook, works great. Ez on Ez off, but never had drum fall off unintentionally. Also I had a couple of the hooks you see mountain climbers use to quickly attach one rope to another, I got them at the dollar store a while back. You can use those instead of small piece of rope. I mention this because I read somewhere that this strap wasnt for Rope tuned Djembes, which is totally untrue, all you do is make a small loop like I said. I am very pleased with the quality of this product, but I have only had it a few weeks.
