(More customer reviews)I bought four of these for my studio. They are very well made. As far as I am concerned, they are the best mic clamps on the market.
I was in the studio yesterday and a bit of an issue came up. A lot vibrational noise was being transmitted through the clamp into the microphone. I resolved this down to a tolerable level by putting moon gels on the drumhead to stop the excess ring. This may or may not work for you if you are going for a very open tom sound.
Another possible solution could be using shock mounts on the mics, but I haven't tried this yet.
Otherwise, I really like the product.
