(More customer reviews)These are superb sticks, as are pretty much all Vater products. However, Vater has both hickory and sugar maple versions named "Sweet Ride". If you are looking for the maple version, THIS IS NOT IT, these are the hickory, just as correctly indicated in the photo. Simply search on "vater maple sweet ride" for the other wood.
The sugar maple versions are clearly stamped "sugar maple", with a large maple leaf between "sugar maple" and the actual stick name.
