(More customer reviews)I don't know why people think they need to rate an item poorly if the store they bought it from sent the Euro version, sent it in a damaged box or gave them lousy service. What does that have to do with rating the performance of the item? Anyway, I will comment on the transactive drummer: First of all, I'm not going to compare my transactive to a $700 Simmons amplifier. I gave less that $200 and for what I paid for it, it's a decent amp. Will it blast a concert hall? No. Will it be good for practicing at home? Yes. -As long as you don't have squeeling guitars and bass to contend with. It's not super powerful, though I knew by the wattage it was going to be no powerhouse. The real power starts to come when you daisy-chain two or more together (I got a second one used at a local music store for a $100 and the two of them are pretty decent). Then you have stereo sound. -Still won't do a concert hall, but it will probably gig a small club. The Ipod attachment on the top is pretty handy; plugs in with no issues. If I ever decide to gig with them, I'll probably purchase a much more powerful amping system and save these for home use.
The sound? Well, just like any other electronic drum amp, it does well replicating drums, but degrades pretty quickly when you try cymbals. I've only seen a few amps do well with cymbals, but those cost 5-10 times as much, so again, you get what you pay for.
