(More customer reviews)Recently received the Mapex T-570A and I'm very impressed. No, it's not one of those $29.00 thrones, and the quality is evident right out of the box. The fit and finish is tight and beautiful. No thin 'see-though' chrome here...this thing is HEAVY. Built for the Big Boys. No clunky, shakey leg braces with this heavyweight's double-braced gams. It has a 5 year warranty. That 4" foam seat feels like you could trust it to practice for a few minutes more without a tired-butt. The 2-way, variable height adjustment seems to be well thought out. It really grips the bar attached to the foam seat--very tight; very secure. I've seen the cheepos crack in the plywood underneath and the foam fall apart over just a few months of use. I'll know more later as I use it more(casual, middle-aged hobby drumming at home), but for right now, I'm glad I spent good money for a good one. Amazon had the best price--free shipping--got here in 4 days. Yep, Momma said you get what you pay for...
