(More customer reviews)I'm one of the lucky musicians that got the opportunity to join the armed forces and perform for those who need our support the most at this time. While I was at the School of Music in VA, I bought myself this fine, little djembe to play around. I am a bass player, I've been playing for 7 years now, and never considered the world of percussion. But for the past year this drum has caught my attention again and again. So, I finally got my own, and this djembe really does it for me! It has this great sound, very mellow and rounded! It's the perfect mid-range sound I love in my basses. Sure, it could have a deeper bass sound, but if you get a larger size, or tune your djembe for those deeper tones, then they are yours to make!
This is a sturdy djembe, and at a great value for the quality in sound!
Small package, big sound.
My djembe allowed me to start a small drum circle at the School of Music while I was there, and we would play for hours on end.
Great djembe, trusty company. Hooah :)
