I've owned my Yamaha kit for almost 3 years now, and have not had one hitch. The samples are incredible. This kit can be used for practice, keeping the neighbors happy, studio, and of course live. I take this kit Everywhere. It sets up in 15 minutes, and you have a sampled drum sound/kit for every occasion. Jazz, Rock, Pop, there is a setting for everything, or you can customize your settings endlessly.
I don't know what the other gentleman's issue was, as I don't read Spanish, but I've had great luck with mine. It keeps me from lugging my acoustic Maple set from place to place!! This kit is great for a beginner or pro.
Now the only gripe I have is of course drumming on rubber pads is nothing like on an acoustic set with good drum heads, but really? That goes without saying. The feel of these rubber pads is miles ahead of a cheap Roland, or any other brand set. There is a good bounce, and some natural feedback from each pad; again, not like your acoustic set, but good enough to where you can get used to it pretty quick.
My favorite feature is the virtual high hat, that has a natural opening and closing feel to the pedals.
Try the comparable Roland kit, and than try these. It will be a matter of preference, as both are excellent kits. I liked the feel of the pads on the Yamaha, others will like the Roland's. Either way, you can't really lose, but I've sure used the heck out of mine, and I still love the thing!!
Cheers.
