The only down side is that when I put the film sheets onto each pad (to make them more realistic for scrapes and what not) it made them a lot louder. For a pad, I was surprised as to how loud it became. It almost like hitting a piece of plastic. I feel like it also detracted from the more natural bounce that it had before putting on the plastic films. Be cautionary when you put them on. Just put on one at first and play on it for a while to make sure you like the feel.
