(More customer reviews)I'm a beginner and I thought a company like Zildjian would make a quality low-end cymbal. They look nice but the zbt high hats do not have a nice hissy 'shick' sound. Its more like a "Clang" sound, the crashes sound like splashes and the ride is even worse. I was completely disappointed and also very upset that Zildjian would even consider making and selling these. Make no mistake, they sound horrible. These cymbals will not help you sound good if your first starting out. I bought an old Pearl set that came with older Paiste 502 cymbals and I really thought buying a major American brand would help my sound. But, No, I will stick with my Paiste's. I sent them back for a refund. The zbt's also came with major scratches on them and a pre-opened box. Obviously, I got used cymbals that someone also bought, hated and sent back. Take my advise...Dont embarrass yourself like me and fall for thier pitch, free stuff and the eye candy of bright, new Zildjians...your sound is more important. buy used quality cymbals or another brand. these zbt's will not help you sound like a serious beginning drummer.
