When it comes to entry level cymbals this set is one of what I consider to be the main choices if you want to purchase a decent set of quality cymbals at a good price.
You get the basic essentials with a large pair of 14" hi-hats, a 16" crash and 20" ride cymbal, plus a bonus cymbal bag. These cymbals sound great and will continue to serve the beginner well as he or she moves into intermediate and advanced skills (and gigs).
However, if you are buying an entry-level drum kit for someone be aware that there are two other cymbal brands that have similar performance and set-up packs in the same approximate price range. Cymbal brands are almost a religion with drummers, and beginners are no exception. Find out if Sabian is the preferred brand, or if Zildjian or Paiste is more to their liking. If Paiste, I recommend that you consider the Paiste 302 Plus Standard Cymbal Set (ASIN B0002D0NU2). If Zildjian, consider the Zildjian ZBT Series Basic Set Up 4 Pack (ASIN B0002CZXXA). These are safe choices because Zildjian and Paiste are respected and used by a number of professional drummers, and these starter sets sound reasonably good.

Precision formed, hammered, and lathed for pure, tonally tight sounds, Sabian's BB cymbals offer the bright, cutting sounds of pure bronze at an affordable price. This performance set includes everything you need to get going on stage right out of the box, including 14-inch BB hi-hat, 16-inch BB thin crash, and 20-inch BB ride cymbals. Constructed from Sabian's B8 bronze, this cymbal is made of 8 percent tin and 92 percent copper.
