(More customer reviews)As a toy for very young children (ages 2-6 would be appropriate), this is a fine beginning drum kit. It comes with two drum sticks, head phones, and bass pedal. My three-year-old can't get enough of it, and the simple selections and very basic rhythms are perfect for him.
My biggest critique is that it runs only on AA batteries, and so you probably need to invest in a charger and rechargable batteries if you don't already own some.
As other reviewers have noted, if you are a serious musician or even an intermediate player, this is not an appropriate kit at all. It is one step more advanced than musical toys you'll find for enfants or toddlers.
But for the price and ease of use, it's perfect for a typical 2- through 6-year-old before moving up to a real drum set.
