(More customer reviews)I was playing around with this pair, a pair of 13" ZBT hats (which i already own), and 14" z custom dyno-beat hats at a drum store. Now, the z customs i didnt like, i thought even the ZBTs sounded better, the Z's were too tinny sounding, and too loud (check my other review for more details). So that ruled out the z customs. Then i compared these to the zbt's, and i was almost amazed. These have almost perfect *chick* when hit closed, unlike the zbts which have a little wash when hit closes, and sound great when played open or partially open. The funny part is too, i didnt realise they were ROCK hihats until i was driving home. I thought they were regular, and asked the guy at the drum store if he had any zht rock hats, and he said 'whatever i had out there we have' so i said ok. but hey , i got the rock hats i wanted, they sound great, a lower pitch than the zbts, so i was happy. Great cymbals, great price. You wont be disappointed, but dont take my word for it...entirely.
