(More customer reviews)I was looking for a case for a 16x28 bass. No one makes them. I bought this one and it has worked out very nicely. It's pretty much bullet proof so I'm not worried about the heads when we pack it for band trips, carry it in and out of my house, or other travel situations. The extra room is actually a little nice to have, and I could stick some extra foam in if I need to make it a little more snug. The one thing that is a little bit of a drawback is that this thing is HUGE. I know a 16x28 bass is already big, but I could fit our bass and cloth case inside this one. It makes it difficult to get it in and out of the house. I have a cart to carry it across flat areas etc which works out nicely. But you definitely have to wrestle it through the doorways. However, I am OK with that because it means that the bass is protected as I bang it against the wall, unlike non-padded cases or cloth cases.
All in all, this case was worth the money and does a great job of doing what I need it to do: protect.
