(More customer reviews)This pedal is very smooth and has great response. I really enjoy the feel this pedal offers and the wide range of settings. With the different cams you can change the speed and power very quickly and it is so easy to switch the cams. This pedal is very sturdy and built for the road, being able to take a lot of abuse and coming with a great case. The springs have a felt in them to minimize any noise and squeaking, after 3 years I have not had any unwanted sounds coming from the spring, something that drove me crazy with the pedal I had before this one.
The only thing I did not like about this (or any Pearl pedal) is the stock beaters they come with. Being very large and somewhat heavy, I did use the beaters from my former pedal.
The DW 9002 is a little smoother, but not enough to pay the extra Benjamin's, and the Pearl pedal is faster and built better than the Iron Cobra.
Overall I am very satisfied with this equipment; it is a great addition to my set and has allowed me to get much quicker and tighter with my double bass chops.
