I was surprised that the "ultra adjust" function was stiffer than I
initially thought it would be but the adjustments are smooth and sturdy.
The only downside for me was that when I purchased the item Amazon had a
rod-adjust snare bracket model pictured and I received the cylinder-adjust
model. In choosing a snare stand I was torn between the Pearl S1000 and the
9606 but Gibraltar won out due to the more affordable pricing.
Overall a great snare stand and solid piece of hardware!
